5 Going-Out Outfits You'll Find Me Wearing This Winter

While daylight savings and colder weather can often encourage even the biggest party animal in your friend group to stay indoors on a Saturday night, I'm determined to change that. What partially holds us back is figuring out what to wear since, of course, you still want to look a little on the sexy side, which isn't the easiest in a cardigan. But not to worry. I've rounded up five night-out outfits to wear during the winter months that don't sacrifice style and still bring the heat. Keep scrolling to see the five winter looks I'm bookmarking to re-create this winter.

Catsuit

It doesn't get sexier than a catsuit—let's be real. It's one of my favorite looks for a night out since it's only one piece you need to style your outfit around, and when it's on the colder side, this is the perfect option for covering your arms and legs while still looking sultry and stylish. This Alex Perry crystal one-piece that Emma is wearing above for a night out in New York City is the catsuit of my dreams. I'm bookmarking a few looks like this for the upcoming months.

LBD + Tights + Pumps

The classic little black dress has been the go-to going-out option for as long as it's been around. It's simple, classic, sexy, and appropriate for almost any night out you can think of. This winter, I am taking the LBD up a notch by adding colorful tights—preferably an oxblood, cherry-red, or burgundy pair—and sleek pumps for a fashion-forward and on-trend way to wear this classic night-out favorite. If you're weary of giving the colorful tights a chance, you can always opt for sheer denier tights, but I highly recommend giving these burgundy stockings a go. The pair I listed below is only $11.

This look is what I call old faithful. When it comes to night-out dressing, minidresses are near the top of the list. There is nothing like a good minidress if you ask me. They're flirtatious in nature and so much fun to style, especially for a night out during the colder months. You're going to need to warm up your legs somehow, so enter in your favorite pair of knee-high boots. Whether you're a sweaterdress lover or a velvet mini is more your thing, just add knee-high boots—voilà.

Blazer + Matching Skirt + Pumps

Sets are like the gift that keeps on giving. The styling is really done for you, making it one of those outfits that only takes five minutes or less to put together. I love the idea of pairing a larger blazer with a shorter skirt. This kind of contrast feels fashion-forward and chic to me. If the bare legs are too cold, add tights or knee-high boots.

Turtleneck + Cherry-Red Skirt

Red always makes a comeback around the holiday season, but this year, the fashion set has become obsessed. This hue has dominated runways and celebrity outfits for the past few months, and it's safe to say it's not going anywhere. I'm loving the idea of a classic black turtleneck paired with a fitted cherry-red skirt. These aren't pieces we haven't seen before, but paired together, they seriously work. I think I'll be giving this look a try on my next night out in the city.
